Information notice for the processing of personal data carried out in the context of organizing BNE Days attached to the bne.lu website

 

Le site www.bne.lu offers NGOs, government bodies and formal, non-formal and informal education structures the opportunity to take part in the « BNE Days »on education for sustainable development. As part of the management of registrations for BNE Days via the bne.lu website, the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity (hereinafter referred to as « the MECB ») in collaboration with the Service de coordination de la recherche et de l'innovation pédagogiques et technologiques (hereafter « SCRIPT ») of the French Ministry of Education, Youth and Children (hereinafter «the Ministry").« MENJE », together « ministries ») process your personal data (hereinafter referred to as «personal data").« your data ») in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC - in short « General Data Protection Regulation »or « RGPD ».

2. Lawfulness and purposes of processing and categories of data processed

The legal basis

The legal basis for processing your data is your consent. For data subjects under the age of sixteen, consent must be given by the person with parental responsibility.

 

Without prejudice to the application of other lawfulness bases, the Ministries carry out the data processing for which you have given your consent. Please note that you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on consent carried out prior to the withdrawal of consent). To exercise your right to withdraw your consent, please contact our Data Protection Officer, specifying the processing for which you wish to withdraw your consent.

 

Categories of data processed

Ministries process the following categories of data:

  • your first and last name
  • your contact details (e-mail address, telephone number)

Processing purposes

The purposes for which your data is processed are as follows:

Organizing BNE Days events:

  • BNE Networking (former BNE Fair)
  • BNE Training (organization of continuing education)
  • BNE Youth (awareness-raising activities for young people)

3. Data recipients

The recipients of your data are:

N.B. The BNE Days organizing committee reserves the right to determine the participants in the event.

  • Publication on bne.lu, departmental websites and social networks means that programs and contact details are visible online.
  • The publication of the programs described above may involve the transmission of texts and contact data of the persons responsible to external parties for the finalization of the texts.

4. Collection of data from the data subject: optional nature of data provision and consequences of refusal to provide data

Providing your data is optional.

If you refuse to provide us with the requested data, you will not be able to take part in BNE Days.

5. Shelf life

Your personal data will be kept in a form that allows you to be identified for the following maximum periods:

  • For the time necessary to achieve the purposes of the processing, i.e. for the duration of the organization of the current year's BNE Days and for five consecutive years.
  • One month after your deletion request.

The above retention periods apply without prejudice to any further processing for compatible purposes, in particular for statistical or other purposes (in particular their transfer to and retention by the National Archives) or for the purposes of ongoing legal proceedings.

6. Transferring your data to a third country

Your data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

7. Your rights

You have the rights provided for by the provisions of Chapter III (Articles 12 to 22) of the RGPD. You may thus, within the limits of the applicable legislation, access data concerning you and obtain a copy thereof (Article 15), obtain the rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Article 16) and obtain the deletion thereof under the conditions set out in Article 17 of the said regulation.

You also have, within the limits of applicable legislation, the right to right to object to the processing of your data under the conditions set out in Article 21 of the RGPD.

In certain cases, you also have the right to limit the processing of your data (article 18) and to portability (article 20). The processing of your data does not involve any automated decision producing legal effects concerning you or significantly affecting you in a similar way.

Any communication relating to a request for information, concerning a complaint or regarding the exercise of your rights under the provisions of the RGPD should be addressed to. data protection officers departments.

8. Complaint to the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD)

If, after contacting us, you believe that the processing of your data carried out by the Ministries constitutes a breach of the GDPR or that your rights under the said Regulation are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, namely in Luxembourg the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (https://cnpd.public.lu ; 15, boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux; Tel.: (+352) 26 10 60-1).
