Objectives
The Sustainable Entrepreneurial School project is an initiative of the Service de la Coordination de la Recherche et de l'Innovation pédagogiques et technologiques (SCRIPT) in collaboration with the Ministère de l'Economie. The non-profit organization Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg acts as project manager.
The aim is to reward high schools that are committed to career guidance, entrepreneurship, financial education and sustainable development. By organizing various activities throughout the school year (workshops, mini-internships, conferences, competitions, visits and challenges, etc.), high schools have the opportunity to be awarded a label of excellence. Depending on the quantity and quality of the activities offered to its students, a high school can obtain three different levels of label, from N1 (Entrepreneurial Startup) to N3 (Entrepreneurial Culture).
Program
The «Sustainable Entrepreneurial Schools» project promotes Sustainable Entrepreneurial Competence (SEC), which enables students to acquire not only hard skills, but also the key skills of the 21st century: communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. At the same time, young people's spirit of initiative and capacity for innovation are strengthened.
Methodological approaches
The platform www.entrepreneurship.lu has been specially created to connect high schools and business partners committed to developing this Sustainable Entrepreneurial Competence. Teachers can search for thematic activities proposed by external partners.
An important element of the project are the« You(th)Start Challenges ». The related material is ready for use by teachers and can be included transversally in different courses. The non-profit organization Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg has the necessary expertise to implement these challenges, and offers training courses for teachers.
The Youth Start Challenges focus on imparting cognitive, personal, economic, ethical and social skills. The results of the program's scientific research are proof of the skills gained.
The TRIO model's three areas of challenge cover a wide range of entrepreneurial education themes, activities and scenarios, with a common goal: to encourage young people to be open to new ideas and to put their ideas into practice creatively.
