Objectives
The Robbesscheier is committed to promoting educational, social and environmental values through its workshops and activities. By offering fun and educational experiences centred around animals, traditional farming and local heritage, it contributes to quality education, the promotion of health and well-being, and raising awareness of nature conservation.
The workshops promote inclusion and equality by welcoming all children and families, and support the local economy by promoting local products and traditional skills. Through its work with draft horses, Robbesscheier encourages sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, reducing its ecological footprint and raising awareness of climate issues among younger generations.
In this way, each activity contributes to creating a positive impact on the community, nature and the future of children, embodying several sustainable development goals in concrete terms.
Program
The Pam the Sheep programme is offered as a half-day session from 9.30am to 12pm for groups of up to 10 people. Thanks to Pam, the children will learn about sheep and the shepherd's trade. Stepping into the shoes of a shepherd, they will have to manage the Robbesscheier flock.
Next, the steps involved in processing and manufacturing wool will be explained to the pupils, before they create a souvenir using wool from Pam and her fellow sheep in the weaving workshop.
