Objectives

Children discover where food comes from and how a farm works. They learn about wheat, oats, and corn, see where cream comes from, and churn their own butter. They also meet the farm animals and take part in hands-on activities depending on the season. This immersive experience helps connect agriculture, food, and everyday life through a hands-on, interactive experience.

Variations:

Fall (Cycle 1) : Visit to Maisy – learning about wheat and flour, and seeing the animals.

Winter (Cycle 1) : Visit with Nani—a tour of the farm, following in Nani's footsteps, and making waffles.

Spring/Summer (Cycle 1) : Learning about milk, a tour of the Vosman Farm, and a cooking workshop.

All year round (Cycles 1–4) : Full-day tour including a visit to the Vosman Farm (morning), a tour to see the animals, a tractor ride, and a hands-on experience learning how wheat is turned into flour and milk into butter (afternoon).

Visit activities are independentfrom one another and can be reserved separately or combined throughout the school year.
