Program
In groups of two, youngsters explore the CITIM library, where there are different stations representing different countries/regions of the world. They discover the differences and convergences between children around the world. Each «team» has a questionnaire to fill in, station by station, to arrive at the solution to the rally. At the end, the results are corrected and discussed.
Methodological approaches
Library rally.
Research through books/films/photos and discover different cultures on your own.
Remarks
In groups of two, children explore different stations in the library, gaining an insight into the daily lives of children in Latin America, Asia and Africa. They realize that there are differences, but also many points in common. The various stations of the library rally are identified as countries and equipped with different media (books, films, photos, etc.). Each team receives a mission sheet and begins to solve the tasks as they go along, using the media. Once the task has been solved, the team moves on to another station. All teams reconvene as soon as they have completed the rally. The worksheets are evaluated and discussed together.
