Organization visions

The region, with the Haute-Sûre reservoir, its tributaries and watershed, is Luxembourg's «water region» par excellence. Water has been, and will continue to be, the common thread running through many of the Nature Park's projects. Ensuring the development of a rural region, while taking into account and benefiting from its natural and cultural potential, is a constant challenge. And this is exactly what the concept of the Nature Park is all about.

Our missions:

The Haute-Sûre Nature Park is a joint municipal-communal association.
The Park operates according to its guiding principle, which is to promote sustainable regional development while respecting water protection, and works in the following 7 fields of action:

  • coordination and networking
  • protecting nature and landscapes
  • education for sustainable development
  • regional marketing
  • tourism
  • the culture
  • agriculture

Experiences

Close collaboration between the communes and the ministries represented on the Nature Park Committee (regional planning, agriculture, tourism, environment) has led to a multitude of projects and initiatives.
in the field of sustainable regional development, e.g. «vum Séi» regional products, sculpture and nature trails, solar boat, eau'tomobile, biological station, etc.
