Inspire and prepare young people to innovate, create, take initiative and be responsible.

Our institution has been coordinating the Girls Go Circular project in Luxembourg for almost two years. The aim of this program is to educate young people about the circular economy.

At the same time, we are collaborating with the French Ministry of Education on the «Sustainable Entrepreneurial Schools» program, the fruit of cooperation between SCRIPT and the Ministry of the Economy. This project aims to promote the skill of sustainable entrepreneurship, which encourages autonomous, sustainable and responsible behavior in society. In concrete terms, this competence applies to all activities linked to entrepreneurship, economic sustainability, financial and economic culture, not forgetting school and career guidance.

As part of our «Mini-Entreprises» program, we particularly encourage sustainable initiatives.

Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg's mission is to encourage young people to become entrepreneurs:

1. Attitude
   • Increase young people's self-confidence by giving them the means to use their potential.
   • Motivate young people to take initiative, create, innovate and assume responsibility.
   • Develop a dynamic, positive approach to work.
2. Interaction
   • Promote teamwork and a sense of responsibility among young people.
   • Promote cooperation between schools and the business world.
   • Stimulate international cooperation.
3. Entrepreneurial spirit
   • Develop entrepreneurial skills in young people.
   • Integrate business ethics and social responsibility into programs.
   • Focusing all activities on Learning by Doing

Sustainability is integrated as a central pillar of the educational and entrepreneurial mission

1.  Environmental awareness & circular economy
   • JEL includes modules on environmental issues, eco-responsible lifestyles and the circular economy (eg. Girls Go Circular)
   • Mini-enterprises are encouraged to design sustainable projects, with rewarded initiatives (e.g. ResponsibleConsuming Award).
2. Developing sustainable practical skills
   • Students learn operational skills to reduce their ecological footprint, recycle, repair, and innovate responsibly .
   • These skills also contribute to careers focused on sustainability
3. Encouraging sustainable innovation
   • Projects are designed around real-life challenges, encouraging young people to innovate in the fields of environmental and social sustainability.
4. Integrating ethical and social issues
   • Sustainability is addressed in all business activities, including ethics, responsibility and environmental impact, via national partnerships (SCRIPT, Ministry of the Economy). .

JA Worldwide / JA Europe

Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg is the Luxembourg branch of the Junior Achievement (JA) network, the world's largest non-profit organization offering entrepreneurial education programs. JA is currently active in 122 countries, including 40 in Europe. Each year, JA programs reach over 10 million students worldwide and over 3 million young people in Europe.

PEN Worldwide 

The association is also a member of the international organization EUROPEN-PEN International, which manages the network of Training Enterprises (EE). Internationally, it supports more than 7,500 EEs in schools, universities and other institutions, such as Adem, in over 40 countries, with the aim of developing employability.

Since 2005 Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg asbl has been stimulating the entrepreneurial spirit in young people aged between 9 and 25 through educational programs organized at every level of schooling. The association strengthens the link between the world of schools and the world of business.

Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg asbl has two main objectives:

• explain and teach young people throughout their school career that self-employment is a concrete alternative to salaried employment
• instill a taste for entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity and initiative

With the support of volunteers from the business world, Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg's programs give young people the opportunity to gain practical, concrete and collective experience, enabling them to develop entrepreneurial skills.
