Organization objectives

The objectives of our development education program and actions are to raise awareness of the realities of the South, of North-South interdependence, and to promote responsible citizenship among our target audiences, particularly in schools.

These objectives reflect our mission to work together to build a fairer world by triggering a change in attitudes and behavior.

Local communities acquire a
better understanding of interdependencies
social, economic and environmental
and policies to stimulate
their critical minds and their commitment
as agents of change.

Remarks

Frères des Hommes is committed to development education around the following priority themes:

  • Citizenship
  • Deforestation
  • Climate change
  • Responsible consumption
  • Sustainable development
  • Waste management

In-school workshops have defined themes, but are adapted to the class to meet teachers' expectations.

Frères des Hommes insists on close collaboration with the host organization.
Ideally, young people can take part in several events, and in turn get involved in disseminating the experience or raising awareness among others.

Our events are a time for exchange, discovery and sharing, with a focus on interactivity, active participation and critical thinking.
