Organization visions

The “sustainable development” department of the Archdiocese of Luxembourg has set up the “Laudato Si Luxembourg” permanent action. Laudato Si Luxembourg is committed to sustainable development and is the Catholic Church's contribution to the climate and environmental challenges we face today. It is about inspiring and mobilizing to protect the planet, our common home, and to achieve ecological and climate justice. It's about promoting integral human development in line with the quality of life of each and every person, respecting human rights and the environmental and social challenges facing our generation and future generations, while reinforcing the values of solidarity and equity.

Organization objectives

Ecological education consists in proposing educational activities in the spirit of integral ecology to foster ecological awareness and transformative action.

Actions can include raising awareness for sustainable production and consumption, ethical investment, divestment from fossil fuels and any activity harmful to the planet and people, support for circular economies, prioritizing care work and protecting the dignity of workers.

Remarks

Our offer is not limited to any one community or region. It can be adapted according to the requests and educational needs of the various players involved. The range of educational workshops is permanent, and additional activities are added regularly.

We believe that religions must make their contribution to the current challenges of climate change and sustainable development.
